LEADERSHIP
This historical moment urgently needs empowered leaders and change agents to help make the necessary shifts in communities, organizations, and systems that will help humanity flourish.
The most powerful lever to achieve systems change is to invest in the leaders of the region” (Peter Senge). They know their context and can catalize a movement in favor of a more sustainable, just, and peaceful model of development through resilient communities. Leadership models are changing. We are evolving from hierarchical frameworks towards participatory models, where we maximize collective intelligence and build communities of practice and purpose. These communities create and manifest a collective vision of a future they want to create for their communities and territory. These on-the ground change agents make sure there is continuity in the processes and adoption of the new behaviors and practices that contribute to make progress towards the desired vision. This leadership model creates a culture of shared leadership and co-responsibility for the conditions that foster collective wellbeing.
This leadership model can be called “PARTICIPATORY LEADERSHIP”. This work is done in conjunction with the Leading Change Institute. The curriculum has the following four objectives:
